In this video we are going to trade the currency pair USDJPY for the whole year 2019 with an algo trading system that can be downloaded on the website AlgorithmicTradingSystem.com. 

 

The current risk setting is 30.

 

The entry signal is the Bollinger Bands indicator.

 

We are using an original Metaquotes Metatrader 5 demo account as you can create one with a few mouse clicks in Metatrader to compare it with your own results.

 

When I started out with automated trading, I didn’t know much about the term hedging.

 

I thought it would be something where you need to consider complicated correlations for complicated financial instruments.

 

Like oil prices affecting the price of other products, or something like that.

 

But when it comes to currency trading, it is much simpler to explain.

 

Think about gardening. 

 

You probably know that you need to consider a few things.

 

For example if I want to grow potatoes and tomatoes, I need to separate them, because they don’t get along with each other.

 

But tomatoes and onions will coexist without any problems.

 

If I try to just grow potatoes every year and in the same place, the harvest will be very bad, even with fertilizer. 

 

The ground will not be able to always grow the same stuff in the same place, you need to make some changes every year.

 

If you do that right, the vegetables will complement each other.

 

When it comes to forex trading you will see that some currency pairs will do well in one year and not so well in other years.

 

But if you trade the right currency pairs at the same time, you might find out that they can complement each other and produce better results.
